Paperweight Chiefs on the Road
Last week was a busy week for the Paperweight Chiefs, with their first two road games of the season, back-to-back!
On Tuesday, the Chiefs were hosted by Milton and fought a hard battle on an impossibly big floor. They gave it their best, but were unable to defeat the competition.
On Wednesday they were on the road again, hosted by Centre Wellington in Fergus. Facing a 4-1 CW lead going into the third period, the Chiefs were able to come up with 2 more goals and turn it into a one goal lead. Fans were on their feet when Austin hit the crossbar, nearly tying the game with just minutes left! In spite of the loss, excitement and spirits were high in the dressing room. Players, parents and coaches were so proud of the kids' efforts and determination. Keep it up players, your win is just around the corner!
Finally on Thursday, Kadyn and some of our shooters set out to brush up on their skills at the Goalie Clinic, hosted at Dickson Arena. Even after back-to-back games, they couldn't get enough!
We have another busy week coming up, with practice on Monday and a game on Tuesday. Rest up, and have a great week Chiefs!!
