Welcome to the Chiefs Tyke 2 team! We are going to have a great season ahead 
We have a lot of housekeeping items to deal with in the first weeks of the team forming, so please excuse the long list!!
1. Please review the team contact sheet for accuracy, and reply by email with any additions or modifications that you would like to make. I especially need parent information for the assistant coaches and trainer as soon as possible, please!
2. Medical and Code of Conduct sheets will be available at the next practice. Please sign them and return them promptly.
3. The home page to our team site is: http://cambridgeminorlacrosse.com/Teams/1245/. I will do my best to keep this site as up to date as possible, so please check here for any team news or scheduling questions.
4. We have a tentative first draft budget available. I am showing 14 kids on the team right now, so I am estimating our costs at $285.00 per player. I should have this number finalized before next practice. Please let me know if there are questions or concerns. (**NOTE that we can decrease out costs through donations, corporate sponsorship and fundraising! We can decide as a team whether or not this is something we want to pursue)
5. Chiefs apparel is mandatory for both "go to" game and on the floor. If you have not already done so, please order a Go To Game shirt and game shorts for your child here: https://chiefslacrosse2016.itemorder.com/sale.
6. LONDON Tournament - May 27th - May 29th
We do NOT have a hotel booked for this tournament as of yet. I did call a few different places, but they were booked or not able to accommodate teams. Given the proximity, how do you guys feel about driving this tournament? Camping is also an option. Please let me know your thoughts.
7. PROVINCIALS Whitby - July 31st - August 2nd
Durham Region is booked solid for hotels for this tournament (even the gross ones). I must have called a dozen places and been laughed off the phone. Here are my suggestions:
a. I found a hotel that would take us in Cobourg. It is a 50 to 60 minute drive East of Whitby, but that's as close as we are getting. Rate is $128.99/night. (Peterborough would be comparable, if we want to try that).
b. We can secure a block of campsites at Darlington Provincial Park (10 minutes from Whitby). They can group us all together, and it's about $46.90/night. This might be a blast for the kids??
I am requesting your feedback on hotels as soon as possible, tonight preferred please! We don't have much time and we don't want to be stuck without rooms or scattered all over the place.
