Provincial Champs and Cambridge TEAM OF THE YEAR

Cambridge Tyke Chiefs lacrosse team went undefeated in the tournament on route to winning the Tyke "C" provincial championship....


   Cambridge Minor Lacrosse Association: Provincial Champs
The Cambridge Tyke Chiefs lacrosse team competed in Zone 8 against teams from Centre Wellington, Milton and Guelph. The team went undefeated in the regular season with a 12-0 record and captured the Zone 8 "C" division playoff championship.
In tournament play, the Tyke Chiefs were finalists in the Milton Invitational Tournament and the Centre Wellington Scott Gerrie Memorial Tournament. Also, competing in the Clarington Dan Greer Memorial Tournament against many higher ranked "B" teams and advancing to the semi-finals.
It was in the Ontario Lacrosse Association provincial championship that the Chiefs acheived their greatest success. The team went undefeated in the tournament and finished with a perfect 6-0 record on route to winning the Tyke "C" provincial championship. The Tyke Chiefs finished the tournament with an incredible 46 goals scored and only 7 goals against. It is only the second provincial championship in Cambridge Minor Lacrosse Association's 10 year history.
The team's overall record was 33 wins and 3 loses.

The team was recently awarded "Cambridge Team of the Year"
