To Players, Parents, and Fans:
I would like to welcome everyone to our upcoming 2017 season. I believe that this sport challenges our players, coaches and volunteers and builds character and strength through the entire experience within the sport of Lacrosse.  This game will help teach our players confidence, leadership, and skills they will use now and throughout their lives.

Our players continue to give back to our CMLA family by volunteering with the younger Chiefs, in our community and returning as Coaches and Trainers back on a bench after their playing days are over. As always, we are focused on making sure the experience is a positive atmosphere for all within our CMLA Family.

I am excited about our upcoming season and wanted to share some of the events that CMLA are working on.

Firstly, I am proud to announce another first for lacrosse in Cambridge. We have introduced our first Field Lacrosse program. We have registered a U13 team with the OMFLL and look forward to growing the sport of field lacrosse locally. Thanks to all those that have made this a reality! I’m sure I can count on all our Chiefs to encourage and support our2017 U13 Team.

We are also working on a partnership with two new Lacrosse Teams in our area in order to help promote and grow the game in Cambridge but use their knowledge and support within our CMLA family to create and share new ideas for our players. The KW Velocity Senior B Team and the ALL Paris RiverWolves are great new teams in our Region for our Players to watch and learn from higher level of lacrosse close to home. We are also looking to work with the Toronto Rock, as they are committed to working with the Associations at the grass root level to promote the game in our communities.
Throughout the season we will be sure send out updates on important events. In the meantime, be sure to follow us on Facebook Instagram and Twitter as well as visiting the website for detailed information.

CMLA is fortunate to have so many dedicated and passionate people working on behalf of our players. This season we have 18 Board members working hard behind the scenes to create a safe and exciting lacrosse experience for all our players at all levels of play. We are dedicated to growing the game and making CMLA be competitive at the highest level possible.

I would like to thank all our extraordinary coaches, assistants, trainers, managers, and board members, as well as many of our parents and players for all the time and effort put into our Chiefs Family.

As a relatively small association we rely on our membership’s continued support andI strongly believe CMLA is a family and this is our strength!

Let’s continue to work together to ensure our organization thrives.
Please ask questions, learn the game on the floor and what goes on behind the scenes in order to appreciate all the hard work that goes into making our programs successful for your children.

Have fun, enjoy the game, and get involved!

I can always be reached at [email protected] with any comments, ideas or concerns.

Yours in Lacrosse,

Danielle Fitzgerald
