Hi Parents and Players,Welcome to the 2022 Paperweight season!  I want to take this opportunity to provide a quick update as we finally getting started next week. I want to thank you for your patience as we worked through the logistics to set up the program.

Program overview:

This 8 week program will focus on 4 key areas of development: Scoop, Cradle, Catch and Throw.

Players will learn new skills through fun games and interesting activities designed to prepare them for a lifetime of lacrosse.

Coach Tom has worked with all age levels from Paperweight to University and loves the opportunity to introduce Canada’s National Sport of Summer to your child(ren).

Time and Location:

The sessions will start on April 25 and run Monday and Wednesday nights for 8 weeks.  All floor times will be at Dickson Arena.  The U5 Soft Paperweights will be on the floor from 6-6:30 PM and the U7 Paperweights will be on the floor from 6:30-7 PM.  Please have your kids ready to go on the floor right at the start time.

Equipment required:

Players are required to wear full equipment, including a helmet, shoulder pads (hockey or lacrosse), elbow pads (hockey or lacrosse), hockey gloves and a jock.

*Note* - for children that this is their first year registered to play lacrosse with Cambridge, you will receive a lacrosse stick on your first day.

Other News:

There will also be a travel select team for the U7 age kids.  There will be tryouts in early May for those children that are interested.  More to come on this shortly.

Thanks again, and we can't wait to welcome your children to the rink on April 25!

Chudleigh’s was born on an apple farm, a place where bliss is never far away. Country life taught us how to work hard, but also how to savor life’s little rewards and take care of the kid in all of us. For three generations, our scrumptious snacks have been inspired by the magic of coming home.
We are excited to share that Cambridge minor Lacrosse has been selected by @CTJumpstart to receive a grant from their Sports Releif Fund. The funds helps community sports organizations like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids. This grant will go a long way.
