Good afternoon Returning Level 1 and Level 2 Box Lacrosse Referees,
Welcome to the 2020 season! We are very excited to be working with you again this year. The 2020 box referee clinic registration is now open for all Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 referees. Please read this message carefully prior to registering for your 2020 certification clinic.
- 2020 CMLA Referee and Timekeeper intent must be emailed to CMLA RIC Mark Kooting by the March 1st cut off date.
- Criminal Record Checks. All 2019 referees who are 18 years old as of January 1, 2019 must comply with the Ontario Lacrosse Association’s Criminal Record Check Policy, which was last updated in November of 2016 with some important changes. For officials who have a CRC or offense declaration form on file from the 2019 season, you must print a copy of the attached form and bring it inside a sealed envelope with your name printed on the front. More information can be found in the Referee Links. Referees under the age of 18 do not need to do anything.
- Rowan's Law. There is one new section added to this year's registration: compliance with Ontario's Rowan's Law. Additional information about Rowan's Law compliance is included as part of your registration requirement - please read this section carefully prior to completing your registration. The Rowan's Law link can be found in the Referee Link section
- Registration Process. The link to register for your clinic can be found in the Referee Link section. Please note that each clinic registration is set to close one week prior to each clinic:
Example 1: Whitby’s February 23rd clinic registration is set to close on February 16th
Example 2: Mississauga’s March 1st clinic registration is set to close on February 23rd
And so on.
