Welcome to the 2026 season of the Cambridge Highlanders. The members of our board have been working hard to keep rising lacrosse costs to a minimum, and a key factor in making this possible is our partnership with the Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre.
The funds raised through our volunteer sessions have helped us keep annual fee increases to a minimum. These funds have allowed us to offer off-season training at little to no cost to parents, run goalie clinics with NLL goalies, and provide additional floor time for our teams throughout the season. This past year, with the help of bingo funds, we were also able to purchase new home and away jerseys for all teams.
In previous years, we relied heavily on board members to attend all bingo sessions. However, we now need the support of our members to ensure this important fundraising initiative continues.
This year, our sessions will run on Sundays from 6–8 pm or 8–10 pm.
Volunteers must complete a short online training video and, once finished, select a night that works best for them. For their first in-person session, they will be paired with a fully trained volunteer.
A dress code is in effect for all sessions: dark pants (no jeans), a black collared shirt, closed-toe shoes, and no hats.
What will in-person volunteering look like?
• Introduce yourself to the Bingo Announcer
• When someone calls “BINGO”, the closest volunteer goes to that person and reads out the winning barcode.
• Keep the area tidy and chairs pushed in
• Represent Cambridge Highlanders with a smile!
