Joel Tinney is a Cambridge, Ontario, Canada native where he attended the Culver Military Academy. While playing at Johns Hopkins University, Tinney was a 2x First Team All-American and was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Tinney made his presence known during the PLL season for Atlas LC. Tinney's contributions to Atlas LC were best showcased in a 2-goal performance in Atlanta against Archers LC. Tinney started in all of Atlas' games at the PLL Championship Series and registered an assist.
